Brett Smith President of S&S Cycle resigns.

Brett Smith’s tenure as S&S President will end December 1, 2008.  One would wonder who would want to take that job, based on the continued downward spiral the entire industry and country is taking.  Brett’s father George Smith announced he would step in as Executive Chairman and CEO.

I meet Brett and staff during the 50th Anniversary in June this year and witness myself what a great team the S&S crew are.  You can check out behind the scenes pictures of 50th Anniversary in the gallery section of BikerDATA.com

FOGHAT steals the show at the UCF concert in Orlando Florida.

An enthused crowd came early to see the Legend rock band FOGHAT.  The atmosphere was high and at on point lead singer Charlie Huhn authorized the crowd to come close to stage and hang out.

Foghat opened for the band Blue Oyster Cult, famous for one of my favorites “Godzilla”.

The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame has just launched an updated website to better serve its constituents.  The new website is online at SturgisMuseum.com.

The Sturgis Motorcycle Museum has been working with Robert Sharp and Associates in Rapid City to develop content and design elements for the new website according to Executive Director Christine Paige Diers.  “We’re excited to have the new website online.

Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have easily and routinely filled concert venues throughout the country with their legendary rock 'n' roll, but Saturday's performance in Milwaukee at Veterans Park closing the Harley-Davidson 105th anniversary celebration proved that the band's musical reach is bound only by the size of the venue he plays at.

The H-D Museum is filled with extraordinary stories of people, culture, products and history compiled from day one.

The museum was built near downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the end of Canal St.  In fact the street was extended to accommodate the museum.  Menomonee River surrounds the 20 acre property on three sides with the design of the building being of an urban industrial theme, referencing the manufacturing DNA of Harley-Davidson.  The entrance is nestled under a 80-foot steel tower with a huge Harley-Davidson Bar & Shield logo displayed proudly.
